Highlights include Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum’s ‘Scene 7’ (2024) which stems from her first solo exhibition at a major UK institution, ‘It Will End in Tears’ at Barbican’s The Curve in 2024. Paintings by Cassi Namoda unpack the history of her home country, Mozambique. Her inclusion occurs following her first major institutional show of her career and on the continent, ‘Is it sunny or cloudy in the land you live on?’ at Norval Foundation, Cape Town. Continuing on from institutional presence is the inclusion of work by Sue Williamson, whose first comprehensive retrospective ‘There's something I must tell you’ opens at Iziko South African National Gallery in Cape Town during ICTAF. The presentation also includes paintings by Clive van den Berg, who had his survey exhibition at the Wits Art Museum in 2024.
